Office 2019 Excel corrupt File error fix

Turn off hardware acceleration steps.

You can turn the feature back on any time you want.

  1. Launch Excel and select Options on the left.

  2. Choose Advanced in the sidebar on the left.

  3. Turn on Disable hardware graphics acceleration in the Display section on the right.

  1. Choose OK at the bottom of the window.

  2. Launch your file with Excel.



File Block Settings for older office apps.


  1. Open each Office app that you're having issues opening your old files. 

  2. Go to Options and select Trust Center.

  3. Choose Trust Center Settings and click on File Block Settings.

  4. Check all 2007 file type and choose Open selected file types in Protected View and allow editing option below.

  5. Click OK to apply the changes. Once it's performed, check if you can now open your files using Office 2019 apps.
